Recovering from eating all the Christmas chocolates was nothing.
Pootle and Poliglota Now Actually Work
This item should fill the whole of the newsletter, because it certainly took all of our time in January and more. After several months of hard work, we were able to build GetGNULinux.org using an entirely different interface. The difference? Translating the website couldn’t be easier. Gustavo is the one you should thank!
New Servers, Lots of Clean-up
We simplified all of our back-end website installation. The present gnulinuxmatters.org website was dusted a little; What used to be a long series of SVN repositories, Trac installs, wikis, subdomains, RSS feeds, was all merged into a single place [temp. url]. We have a virtual private server all to ourselves to handle it; it’s hosted at Gandi, and damn fast, too ;-)
A Few Talks
In December we talked at the 24C3 in Berlin, and at the HispaLinux Congress in Extremadura. We also got accepted for a few other talks, so you can meet us at the LinuxDays.lu or Chemnitzer Linux-Tagen in the coming months. We’ll also be around at FOSDEM.
Next Month
In February we’ll focus on making an official release for our translation system, sparking off an ambitious program for the rest of 2008. So much for the resolution to do less typing, more jogging this year.
