GLM’s Eurotour 2007 has begun!
As an attempt to make loud within the Free Software community, Olivier has been giving talks in several events in Europe. Our websites get famous thanks to this community, so face-to-face encouragement is probably the best way to increase motivation.
Sander Marechal attended to T-DOSE (one of the events) and made a good summary of the event.
We’re getting there!
17 months after the initial release of GetGNULinux.org and 9 months after the foundation of GNU/Linux Matters, this project is becoming the ultimate reference for Linux on the Internet; if you google for Linux right now, you’d find us in:
- the 61th result in the USA (three days ago we were the 69th result and one month ago we were the 120th or so),
- the 9th in Spain (three days ago it was the 10th),
- the 6th in Venezuela,
- the 5th result in France (one month ago we were the 9th),
- the 3rd result for the Catalan language,
- and so on…
We’re also the 38th result for Linux in Microsoft’s search engine! :)
Internationalization at GLM, translations for human beings
We have been working to make our translator’s job extremely easy: They’ll be able to do their job through the web, so there would be no need to install software nor learn subversion! They’ll work a la Creative Commons, thanks to Pootle!
