We have released a succint, simple website named SoftwareLiberty.com . The objective: explain the concept of free software to an everyday computer user, in less than 250 words.
We felt that was needed because the official FSF definition is developer-orientated, and an encyclopedia article just doesn’t cut it. We’ll link to it from the many occurrences of the term “free software” on our websites.
If you want to participate, we have opened a softwareliberty account on our tracker; and you can also join the discussion on our forum (for example, to develop an FAQ section to the website).
